The trip was great. The previous renter smoked in the vehicle and Ziyi tried to get it cleaned for us, but there was still a smoke smell unfortunately.

Went to pickup the vehicle, opened the car door and the smell of cigarettes and weed smoke was so overwhelming. I called Turo to cancel the trip and they had me message the host, the host said he couldn’t cancel it and talk to Turo support. I called support back and after 20 minutes Turo support wanted me to send a picture for proof of the smell, I asked to talk to a supervisor 3 times and then the call got disconnected.
I messaged the host again. The host is now claiming the vehicle was moved and not at the location.
I called Turo support for the third time! They reached out to the host and apparently they found the vehicle (it never moved) . The past 3 hours I’ve been dealing with Turo and the host to cancel and refund
my trip.
This is insane that the host couldn’t cancel and refund me when I let them know about the smoke smell. Also the vehicle listing says no smoking and if you do you have to pay a fee and they have stickers inside the vehicle saying no smoking. yet the host smokes in it.
Also the vehicle was dirty on the outside and had some nasty stuff on the back seat.
This is a the worst experience I’ve ever had trying to rent a vehicle.

3 stars for disappointing. Car mechanically was fine but it smelled so badly of smoke it should not have been rented out. I am smell sensitive and had to put the black ice trees in the glove box. Car gave me a headache and it was embarrassing to drive my passengers around in it because it stunk so bad.
