Great running car ,clean , smell good

Host was communicative to swap the Escalade to this 392 Durango which was fine based on his other customer requesting an extension of the Escalade I had reserved.

However it did cost me $75 more for this vehicle for some reason when changing it. Which upon picking it up it has over 200,000 miles on it! Featuring clapped out exhaust (cheap straight pipe not something performance oriented), ABS fault lights, traction control fault lights, stability control fault lights, parking sensors inop, a broken RF window switch, and even an airbag fault that kept beeping randomly.

Upon informing the host of this, he stated he knew about all of it. I had stated I wasn’t concerned with it, but still it’s the principle of expectations of what your rental vehicle should be.

Which brings me to the concern of why would you knowingly be renting out a vehicle that’s in need of mechanical repairs especially ones that are the safety features of the vehicle.

Also it has some sort of bushings or mounts that bang hard anytime you accelerate from a stop with more than 25% throttle.

I would’ve liked to actually fully experienced SRT modes and other items these cars are known for, but didn’t as I was afraid of breaking it. Which this being a SRT model was the reason I picked this vehicle to change from the Escalade I had originally picked to be able to accommodate the host.

I purposely rent high end vehicles when I’m out of town, and this one definitely left me surprised at the mileage and mechanical shape it was in to still be in a fleet of rentals.

This car NEEDS to be fixed correctly before being put out to someone else on rent or send it to auction to be sold.

Turo’s rules are less than 130k miles or if more in excellent mechanical shape, which this is far from with the dash lit up like the 4th of July.
