I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share our experience.
We rented this vehicle for a family trip to Florida and had high expectations based on the excellent reviews. While we are grateful that the car got us to and from our destination safely, we encountered several issues that significantly impacted our trip.
Unfortunately, Apple CarPlay did not work, which meant we were unable to use the vehicle’s built-in screen for GPS and navigation during our trip. This was a major inconvenience, especially while traveling in unfamiliar areas. The windshield wipers also performed poorly during heavy rain, and the fuel economy was much worse than expected. We traveled with two other vehicles, including my husband’s pickup truck, and both of those vehicles only needed to stop for gas three times during the round trip, while we had to stop four times in this rental.
The most disappointing issue was that the air conditioning stopped working about halfway through our trip, making the remainder of the drive uncomfortable in the summer heat. Once we arrived in Florida, we were unable to use the vehicle at all during our stay because the air conditioning was not working. This was especially frustrating because we had been told the vehicle was up to date and ready for our trip.
What made the experience even more disappointing was how our concerns were handled. Tanya was polite and courteous, but I found her husband’s communication to be aggressive. I was made to feel as though I was simply complaining in an effort to receive a refund, and I was essentially told that I “got what I paid for.” That response was disheartening, as I was only trying to report legitimate issues we experienced.
I understand that older vehicles can have occasional problems, but these issues affected both the safety and comfort of our trip. Based on our experience, I don’t believe this vehicle is in suitable condition to be offered as a rental until these problems are addressed. Turo also stated that if we turned around and brought the car back then we would get a partial refund when we were already 3 hours out from Florida. So it was just hurtful.
This was my first experience using Turo, and unfortunately, it left a very negative impression. I hope this feedback is taken constructively so future renters have a better experience than we did.
Ieshia complained about everything said the air didn't worked and it was working perfectly she wanted a refund just a complete nightmare of a guest not welcomed back
not to mention her lack of understanding of tank sizes and fuel economy we are extremely delighted to not host her in the future.

This was my second time renting from them, and they were great as always! Very nice and friendly host. The car was clean, smelled good, and rode great for my trip. Everything went smoothly, and I had a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be back to rent again. Highly recommend!
