Car smells like cigarettes. Pick up slightly confusing but other than that no issues

This was a really terrible experience. Initial communication was slow, and I asked multiple times where the car would be at the airport. I now realize why the host didn't answer until the last minute. The car pickup was "at LAX," but it required a shuttle to an off-site "Parking Spot" parking garage. The shuttle was full multiple times so we had to wait 30+ minutes. Then the car wasn't even parked at the garage where we were dropped off. You had to walk to a different parking garage. I needed a QR code to get into the garage (which wasn't sent to me until I asked how to get in).
The car smelled very strongly of stale cigarettes and/or weed. I messaged the host about this immediately, but got no response.
To make matters worse, the return (to that random garage) was very stressful because the entrance gate would not open. I sat there for 10 minutes, had to use the help button to speak to someone who could not help. They tried calling the building manager and said it should open, but it never did. I ended up parking at the terminal because I had to catch my flight.
I never leave 1-star reviews out of respect for the business owner, but this was a situation where future renters need to be aware.
