It was a wonderful experience overall. Unfortunately, the car battery died before we were able to finish using the vehicle. Thankfully, the host was extremely kind, responsive, and efficient. They replied very quickly and arranged for us to exchange the car for a different one at no extra charge. We really appreciated their excellent customer service and would gladly rent from them again.

I’m giving 4 stars because overall the car I ended up with (the BMW) was great, but the experience getting there was pretty frustrating.

I originally booked a different car, but when I picked it up, it absolutely reeked of cigarettes. The smell was so strong that it was honestly unbearable to drive, so I had no choice but to drive all the way back (about an hour) to swap it.

To his credit, he was nice about it and handled the swap well, and the BMW I received instead was a really good car. No issues there.

However, what didn’t sit right with me was being charged an “inconvenience fee” for the missing fuel when I returned the original car. I’m completely fine paying for the fuel I used, that’s fair. But being charged an extra fee when I was the one who had to go out of my way and lose time because the original car smelled so bad feels pretty unreasonable.

Overall, good car in the end, but the initial condition of the first vehicle and the extra fee left a bit of a bad impression.
