I was over charged for extra time that I didn’t have the vehicle an had pa parking receipts to prove it. They still charged me for an hour even though I had a 30 minute grace period and I was only 15 minutes past that after explaining to them and also explaining to them that this is my first Turo purchase, they had no grace and they still continue to overcharge me. as far as the car itself, it was OK kind of dirty when we got in it they only plus was having an electrical vehicle was a saver upon gas since Los Angeles Gas is so expensive but when you get overcharged for things that didn’t apply to you it kind of takes away from the savings and the good rental experience

In the end, the car was fine. I’ve owned a Tesla Y for many years. When I picked it up, the screen did not function properly. It immediately offered to do a software update but I needed to pick up my elderly mother with Alzheimer’s (my weekend with mom) so skipped. I tried putting in the directions and the screen kept glitching. By the time I was on the freeway the maps were zooming in and out at a rate that was so intense, I’d guess 5 frames a second. This is okay. Stuff happens. Unfortunately when I messaged they told me that they’d never had an issue and “just return the car and we will cancel your trip. I don’t know that you know what you’re doing.” Rude and insulting but okay. When I asked if there was a replacement, they told me there was no other option. I contacted Turo customer service and they said they guaranteed a replacement, just not immediately. So there was another option. Since I own a Tesla, once I had time, I figured out a work around for the software update and fixed my own issue. When I let them know they thanked me for the update.
There is no level 2 adapter in the car. I have free charging so this trip cost me about $50 extra in supercharging. Not complaining, since i could have asked and brought my own, but mentioning.
I tired to clean the windshield and there was no washer fluid. Another fyi.
Pre and post their communication was great. It was easy to pick up. Just don’t believe the software glitch wasn’t known beforehand and if it wasn’t, that their response was “I don’t know if you know what you’re doing.”
Would not rent again but if the car hadn’t had that glitch, I would have never known so maybe fine if the car is in working order
