An unfortunate experience. I picked up the car and immediately noticed the gas tank was 3/4 full and saw on the dash that the tire pressure was low. When I mentioned it to the host, he copped it out to the weather since he had dropped the car off in the early hours when it was much cooler.
Long story short, the tire pressure gauge stayed on and two days later the tire went flat. I had to call AAA to get it towed. I paid for the tire patch as well as an Uber to get from my workplace to the tire shop (I still had meetings to attend so I couldn’t go with the tow truck). I was reimbursed for the tire patch but not the Uber. The host did not even acknowledge that I had to pay for an Uber. I was running late for my flight so I accepted being charged for gas. I’m totally okay with paying a service fee as it is expected but was charged $37 for gas when I used just over a quarter tank and the tank wasn’t full when I took possession of the car. I know gas is expensive but the host didn’t even reply to my query for a gas receipt.
All and all, communication (including grammar and spelling) was shoddy and the host should have provided better customer service.
A flat tire happened on your trip. You did pick up a nail on the tire which is guest responsibility and said monitor it in case just a temp change. I did try to make it right and reimbursed you for the tire patch and gave you $20 off the gas tank that was not refilled to help with your uber of $20. I truly try to always provide the best experience and I apologize I couldn’t meet your expectations for this trip. I’ll work on more commas and periods in the future. Thanks for your feedback
