Car owner was late for drop off. Pulled up got out and told me the keys were in the cupholder and walked away.
The car had a myriad of issues. The check engine light was on. Overdue service, check oil light as overdue by 7000 miles, state vehicle inspection light was on, a large tear in the tire and a tremendous amount of shaking when I braked. The inside of the car had a black sticky substance by the rear view mirror and in the pocket used to open and close the door.
All of this happened about 20 miles from the airport. I had a dinner to attend and meetings for the next two days. I asked fellow members to drive me as I wanted to “save” my luck and chance of a complete breakdown for the return drive. A colleague was kind enough to tail me back from NH to the airport in case I broke down.
All in all a very bad experience. I’ve been using Turo for a long time and this was the first bad car. Very unfortunate.
