Chris was great to work with. The car was clean, and easy to pick up. Hurricane Lowell hit Kauai during our vacation and affected my drop off. Chris and I were able to get everything figured out. I would highly recommend vehicles Chris has available.

Host knew the car was leaking oil, ordered a part, and did not disclose this information until after we reported a dinner plate sized oil leak followed by a low oil engine light. We purchased a quart of oil and spent six hours of our vacation back at the AirBnb and Turo parking lot troubleshooting. Turo advised road side assistance or returning the vehicle to the Turo lot so they could facilitate a swap (only four vehicles were available: two would not accommodate four passengers, and the remaining SUV options were approximately $1,300/day). After several calls, on hold in increments of 5 minutes, we ultimately decided not to continue waiting three more hours until 9:30 pm, for Turo's help. In the end, Turo refunded the rental, we returned to the airport, and applied the refund for last-minute rental through a national chain. We've previously had only positive Turo experiences, but we learned a lesson this trip. Even if it's a late model car, add roadside assistance so maintenance issues or surprises are the responsibility of the Turo and the host.
