When we picked up the vehicle, it had an extremely strong marijuana odor, chips in the windshield, and trash throughout the interior, including the center compartment and underneath the seats. Most concerning, we found a used medical device/insulin injector inside the center console. Finding a used medical device in a vehicle that was supposed to be cleaned and prepared for a new guest was extremely disturbing and raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and sanitation of the car.
The condition was bad enough that I ultimately had to clean the vehicle myself before I felt comfortable riding in it. We were traveling under significant time constraints and unfortunately did not have an opportunity to refuse the vehicle and find another rental, so we had to take it despite the condition. We documented the issues and contacted Turo Support but despite explaining the situation, we received no meaningful assistance or resolution.
Minor cleanliness issues are one thing, but finding a used medical device in a rental vehicle is completely unacceptable. The vehicle clearly was not properly cleaned or inspected between guests. Unfortunately, this was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I would not rent or recommend this vehicle again.

Terrible. Picked up the car and it was filthy and smelled like 7 days of cigarette and weed smoke. You could tell they didn’t even wipe the car down or try to mask the smell. Renting the car in that condition was a violation of Turo policy. I told the host immediately and he said they didn’t have time to clean it because of the holiday. Unacceptable. I tried to switch cars but Turo didn’t have any. It was a truly awful experience and the host wasn’t any better. Not accommodating at all. His response was basically “oh well just leave a bad review”I really wish I could give 0 stars. I will never rent with this “host” again.

This entire rant is over the fact I would not allow her to park in the parking garage because we use the economy lot as soon as I made that comment to her the nastiness started you can see the other reviews on this vehicle and I think they speak for themselves. This vehicle has had many five star reviews and is nearly in mint condition.
Overpriced charges for a car I didn’t book for.
