Vienna •
Car was picked up with a slight cigarette smell, and tire tread dangerously low. When messaging the owner about the tread, did not get a response until two hours later to come to a shop to fix the tire, then later denying that there was any issue with 4 tires. I entered photos showing the tread depth was less than 4/32” - this is very close to being legally bald and a big safety issue to customers. This can compromise breaking, especially in a car that is programmed to use regenerative breaking. Also on the dash was indicating to us that the tire tread depth was low as well, as well as other indicators that routine maintenance needed to be done. (Not listing out all, but enough to where we had multiple pop ups like windshield wiper fluid low continuously show up throughout the trip.)
Throughout my 3 day trip, I received multiple, repeated messages to the point where it was excessive. I don’t mind daily check ins as a customer, but when you provide no assistance to your customer when an issue is highlighted, I fail to see the point of the messages. I believe some of these are automated and should be monitored more closely as they were becoming a stressor.
Nonetheless, the Seven the Tesla treated us well and we got where we needed to go. I believe the owners need to be more proactive about taking care of the car before dispatching them to customers. I urge the next customer to thoroughly check the car for the future. An alternative car was not even offered to us.
We were unaware of your dramatic tendencies, Vienna. Thank you for sharing your feedback. It’s crazy how ungrateful people can be. While you mentioned a concern about one tire, the vehicle remained fully functional throughout the trip. It completed the journey to Virginia Beach and back without any incidents, roadside assistance, tire failure, or mechanical issues during the rental period. We value your feedback and will continue maintaining our vehicles to the high standards our guests expect.
