Title: Trip Glitch Left Me Charged with No Car — Hoping for Some Understanding
My trip was canceled right after my ID verification — I never even made it to the car. Somehow, the host still got paid and then asked when I was going to pick it up. I wasn’t anywhere near the car, and yet I was marked as “on a trip,” which blocked me from booking anything else. Total mess.
Whether it was a system glitch or miscommunication, it doesn’t make sense to take money from someone who never even touched the vehicle. I had to call Turo support to get it sorted, which was frustrating and time-consuming.
Honestly, I’m just hoping Turo does the right thing and refunds that $114. Even better, if the host can show some good faith and return it so I can rent another one of his cars, that’d go a long way in showing there’s still some empathy left on this platform.
Right now, I’m just crossing my fingers that this gets handled fairly — no one deserves to be charged for a trip they never took.
