Host communicated car location clearly and the vehicle was easy to find. Turo virgin here, so my experience was off to a promising start. What she failed to communicate that would've been helpful, is that the small piece of paper in the lock box with the key, was the parking lot ticket that I would need to exit the lot. So, there I sat holding up with exit line as I tried to reach my host to ask how to get out of the lot. I was finally able to exit the line, and finally heard back from the host, but had to wait several minutes. I was able to return the vehicle early. I reached out to my host to inquire if that was allowed and asked if my rate would be adjusted. She said it was allowed and that rate was daily, so yes it could be adjusted. I returned the car 2 days early and sent photos of location. Well guess what? I was supposed to submit a trip change request in order to be considered for a refund. Had my host advised me of such, I wouldn't completed that. She just made it sound like I needed to message her when the car was returned. Again, first time using the service, I'm relying on the host to provide me with relevant information regarding the service she's offering.
Where I initially considered using Turo exclusively vs. a traditional car rental service for all my travel, this has left a bad taste in my mouth. I've never had issues like this with a rental agency. Bad customer service all around.
