The host was great! Very responsive and the car was clean and in great condition.

The battery life was less than we expected and we had issues finding chargers that were not out of service or would charge in a reasonable amount of time.

Overall a very good experience. Thank you!

What fantastic customer service! I rented the Model Y because that’s what I drive at home and I was traveling with my infant alone for the first time. Paying extra to get the car I’m comfortable with driving and familiar installing our car seat in is just a valuable convenience. Weiyoung didn’t pressure me even when our pick up time was delayed because I took long to get to baggage claim bc of diaper changes. He even helped me get my bags from the baggage claim since my hands were full with my baby.

He warned that the car wasn’t fully charged but they were very communicative about how to find chargers around if needed. Due to the delays of our trip and travel day, they allowed me to return the car without a full charge and overall again helped me take the car seat and checked luggage to the Hawaiian Air check in. I have no hesitation to try to travel again solo with a baby as long as I can rent from Turo and save having to deal with a shuttle to rental car and bonus of having a great service from Weiyoung!

Apparently he runs airbnb too so you could bundle the Tesla with the property so the onsite charging!

Thank you again for a great experience!

All wrinkles ironed out. I believe in a less if Oil world even though public charging can be challenging. But I’m not a quitter. We had a message that the navy blue Model Y was over booked so Mark met up and picked us up at KOA airport and dropped us off at the any convenient place ( Island Naturals-yum) and we saw the 2023, white Model Y we received had some scrapes, curb rash on the wheel, dent on the front hood but all in working order and drivable. We wanted to rent a car seat and that was $35 by Zelle. Our flight was at 6:20 AM from AUS, so we went to sleep early and did not see the message about the age range and weight needed for the car seat until we landed at 1:30 PM in Kona. So Mark went to retrieve the car seat and helped us while we install it. A nice local gesture. Use the small converter, I think it is: Lectron - J1772 to Tesla EV Adapter Charger available in the Frunk. Charger Point App needed: Target, CPA Wong garage, Courthouse. EV Connect App ( more expensive than Charge Point needed at 73-285 Kaiminani Dr, I picked this one since it is closest to KOA, Sale Amount at 5 AM ( I had to disconnect because Boarding time for the 7 AM flight is 6:35AM) so the email I received is $0.30 USD with Tax (4.50%) We drove to all the beaches, downtown, The Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory, Papakōlea Green Sand Beach, and Hawai’i Island Resort ( fresh macadamia nuts, and fruits,) 94-6263 Kamaoa Rd Box 756, Naalehu, HI 96772 and had to charge three times. The HA flight was moved to one hour earlier so we didn’t have time to charge or take all the check out pictures but the Koya Kona team took care of charging and I was charged with tax $38.78. So renting an electric car can be a challenge with lots of planning and walking around if you only have Level 2 public charging on the Big Island :-) and a patient husband and child.
