The host’s communication was great throughout our trip, which we really appreciated. However, we did encounter some significant maintenance and safety issues during our stay. We arrived during one of the biggest storm Maui has seen in 50 years, only to find the vehicle was missing a windshield wiper blade. This was a major safety concern in the heavy rain, and we had to spend part of our vacation at an auto parts store to replace it ourselves as it was advice to go to O’ralley auto parts to buy the replacement, which of course will get refunded.
Additionally, we experienced leaks from the roof on both the driver and passenger sides, during raining times. The interior of the car is bit worn and has a persistent damp smell, though that may just be a result of the island’s high humidity.
This vehicle is a decent choice for someone looking for a rugged "adventure" car, but we were disappointed by the lack of a pre-trip safety check and the expectation that we handle the repairs ourselves.

We had a fantastic experience with the Jeep. The pick-up and drop-off process was seamless, and communication with the owners was excellent throughout. Everything went smoothly, and we couldn’t have asked for better service. Highly recommend!
