Car quality was as expected, although a few more scratches and dings than originally pictured. We documented all of this on the Turo app. The inside of the vehicle was clean and seat covers were a good idea. The location was not difficult to find with our Uber driver. However, on the third day of our trip, we discovered a flat tire as we were leaving parking lot. Fortunately, the car had a spare tire.
The owner was notified of the flat and we were asked to provide the receipt of fixed flat, which was not repairable. The tire size was only available 45 minutes away near the airport so we drove on the spare at suggested speed limit and paid to have a new tire installed. The tech stated that he had never seen this type of puncture on a tire before and looked like the car had run over or parked on something “very hot” to burn a hole through the wire mesh and create the slow leak. We noted that the car was parked in a gravel parking lot upon pick up.
When the host was asked how to work out payment, we were notified that it was the guests responsibility. I include this so that future guests can be aware.
Aside from the mishap, the host(s) were responsive on the app in a timely manner.
