Car was old and made noise while driving

Car was good. It was clean but had only 3/4 tank of fuel. I filked it before returning. Return was not fun, but not the host’s fault. For some reason turo return map did not work on my phone so i had difficulty finding the international parking structure entrance. Google map was little help. For some reason i had to get a ticket to get in the structure. Wasn’t expecting that but guy behind me was getting a bit upset waiting for me. Car drove well and we had no issues with it. Host was good at responding to my multitude of questions

Pickup was frustrating because the car had been there too long and we had to pay $216 to get out. Were told by host we would be reimbursed. Drop off was confusing as the left two lanes were barracaded to get into the garage and we had to take a ticket to get in the garage. Ended up being the internal and garage and it didn’t have us pay to get out so we assumed getting. A ticket was normal until I reread the instructions. Did not know until after that this would be an issue. Turo and airport need a better process. Being generous as I really want to give the process 3 stars but know it may not be the hosts fault. The car itself was fine and host was polite.

Our family couldn’t have asked for a better vehicle for our time on Oahu. The Honda Pilot was spacious, clean, reliable, and incredibly comfortable, making it perfect for everything from beach days to exploring the island’s hidden gems. It handled beautifully and gave us zero issues the entire trip exactly what you hope for when renting a car on vacation.
What truly set this experience apart was the owner’s outstanding communication. They were quick to respond, friendly, and genuinely thoughtful. When our time‑zone mix‑up caused us to arrive earlier than expected, the owner went above and beyond by allowing us to pick up the car early. That small act of kindness made our travel day so much smoother.
