Very reliable car

Due to good reviews I thought I found the perfect vehicle for our family trip. Periodically I would check for any current reviews. A customer stated the struts on the vehicle were bad and needed repair. I reached out to Alvin regarding this issue with the screenshot.. I told him if the struts were not fixed I will cancel my reservation and find another vehicle. . He read my message and deleted it. Moments later my remaining balance was withdrawn. Still no response from Alvin.. I reached out again letting him know I seen he read the message and it was deleted. I inquired about the struts again. He told me to reach out to his host by the phone number he provided. I called his host. He didn’t answer he texted back stating he was with a customer. I told him my concern re: the struts from a recent customer. He said he’ll reach out to Alvin to see if the struts were fixed. He texted back later stating Alvin confirmed the struts were fixed. I trusted his word. Pick up day….Needless to say the struts were not fixed. When driving you can hear the struts making noises. I recorded the noises. When you turn a corner and get out the vehicle you can hear the struts making noise. When I got home I immediately reached out to Alvin. I told him he was dishonest about fixing the issue and I was inconvenienced. I asked him due to his dishonesty and inconvenience could I get a partial refund? He read my message and never responded. I reached out again letting him know I could’ve cancelled if he was honest. Moments later another host sent me a link to cancel. I told her my trip was early in the morning. If the link was sent to me over two weeks ago I could’ve cancelled and found another vehicle. People were asking me what was that weird noise? After I dropped off the vehicleI was asked to give a 5 star rating about my experience. I told Alvin he will not get a 5 star rating due to his dishonesty and inconvenience. Again, I gave him an opportunity to make it right by giving me a particular refund. He read my message and never responded. I told him I know a lot of people that use his services. I was referred to him by a source. I do not recommend renting a vehicle from Alvin. He was dishonest and never tried to make it right.

Overall, the pick up was very smooth and easy. The car itself was a disappointment. The shocks in the rear of the vehicle are in desperate need of repair. I used this vehicle to attend a wedding and I was a primary driver. The noise from the car is both embarrassing and annoying, as it is VERY LOUD. The vehicle otherwise is fine.

The vehicle needs repairs as it sounds like the struts are bad. They make a loud noise while driving, especially at low speeds. The vehicle was clean and in good condition otherwise but for the price this vehicle was rented for, it should not be embarrassing to drive or pick up a person in.

Pickup/drop off process was very easy and host is very communicative
