The vehicle itself was great, but it was clear the previous renter had been a heavy smoker. It would have been appreciated if this had been disclosed upfront or if I’d been offered a different vehicle. I didn’t raise the issue at the time, especially since the staff seemed aware, after the gentleman checked the mileage and car, the doors were opened and the air was turned on full blast before handing over the keys.
Even so, the smoke and nicotine odor was overwhelming. It took cleaning the car and two full days of driving with the windows down before the smell became tolerable.
