Guidelines

1) NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND (Cigarettes, E-Cigarettes, Weed/Cannabis/Marijuana etc) inside the car. My family is allergic to the smell. If the car is returned with smoke scent, there will be a minimum of $150 charge to send it for smoke scent removal. This is a different/additional cleaning fee, separate from cleaning fee for returning the car dirty or unwashed. 2) Please have the car professionally hand washed prior to return or you can pay the $35 carwash fee and not have to worry about it at the end of your trip. IF you wash it prior to return, you MUST provide the receipt of paid wash. You can take a picture of the receipt and text it to me via your reservation in the Turo app. 3) No pets in the car. 4) Please return the car with at least 70% BATTERY level. If you return the car with less than 70% battery charge, below will be the EV recharging fees: a) $10 EV recharging fee for battery level returned at 51- 69% b) $20 EV recharging fee for battery level returned at 21-50% c) $50 EV recharging fee for batter level returned at 0-20% If you do not want to worry about charging the car before returning it (dropping it off), you have the option in "extras" to pay $30 in advance (Prepaid EV Recharge), subject to a minimum of 50 miles on the battery. If the car is returned with so little miles left that it won't be able to make it to a supercharge station, you will have to pay the towing fee. Please never allow the battery to run below 30 miles at any time as it is detrimental to the battery. If you are renting the car overnight, please have it charged to at least 50 miles as Tesla sometimes conducts software updates overnight and this can drain the battery. 5) SUPERCHARGING - With Tesla, you only want to charge between 80%-90% for daily use and 100% for long trips. All costs/fees from charging the vehicle at Tesla stations will be charged to you after your trip. This is separate/different from the extra Prepaid EV Charge (which allows you to return the car without charging it, subject to minimum level). In addition, Tesla has imposed Supercharger Idle Fee. After the car is fully charged at a Tesla Supercharge stations, it will incur an idle fee. If the car is moved within 5 minutes, the fee is waived. Idle fee applies when a Supercharger station is at least 50% full, and it doubles when the station is 100% full. The idle fee rate is $0.50 per minute ($1.00 per minute when the Supercharging station is 100% full). As such, please be mindful about the time when you leave the car for restroom rest while the car is being charged. Keep track of the charging and remove the car once the car is fully charged. You are responsible for the idle fees accrued on your trip; reimbursement will be requested. You are also responsible for paying for charging; reimbursement will be requested after your trip ends. 6) For toll road charges, this car is registered with our Fastrak account. After your trip has ended, we will check with our Fastrak account and submit reimbursement request through Turo for the toll charges that this car has accrued while in your possession. 7) You will be charged an additional day if the car is not there at the returned hour, unless we have agreed otherwise. 8) You will be responsible to coordinate the repair or replacement of any flat tire or other tire damage or condition occurring during your rental. Please be sure to let us know right away. 9) Returning the car: a) If we are unable to meet the renter in person to accept the return of the car, please park the car in a parking lot nearby, leave the key and the parking ticket inside the car (center console), and lock the car (if you are given access through TuroGo) or call/text us so that we can lock the car remotely. b) Park the car in the REGULAR parking lot/stall and DO NOT PARK in a 2-hour/3-hour/time restricted parking lot (this is especially so at LAX, Long Beach Airport, San Diego Airport, Palm Springs Airport, Orange County/John Wayne Airport, Ontario Airport). Cars parked in the time-restricted parking lots are subject to be towed away. Due to our busy schedule, we may not be able to get to the car until hours later, If a returning car is parked in a 2-hour/3-hour/time-restricted parking lot and is towed away by the airport parking authorities, the renter will be responsible for any and all towing/release charges by the towing company and airport parking authorities. We really appreciate your business and your cooperation.

Faqs

  • Am I allowed to smoke in the car? 🚭

We’re sorry, but smoking is never allowed. You'll receive a hefty smoking fee if this rule is broken.

  • 1st time Tesla guest, how do I recharge it?🔌

Charging is easy and CHEAP. We recommend using a Tesla supercharger to save time. A full charge (80%) will take around 25 minutes. It will cost about $10-$20 depending on the time of day. If you do not use a Tesla supercharger and instead use another charger, there is a converter in the frunk (front trunk). The easiest way to charge is to go to a Tesla Supercharger Station which you can easily find using the car's navigational system. Back into a spot, ideally at least one spot away from other charging cars to get a faster charge, and open up the charging port either by going to Controls > Charging > Open Charging Port on the display or by walking to the driver side tail light, tapping on the side of the light and the port opens. When you plug in the car, the Tesla Supercharger automatically recognizes our car and adds any charging fees to our account, which will be billed to you at the end of your trip. Enjoy Netflix during the super charging session and when you're done, unplug the cord by pressing the little button on it, hang it back up, and be on your way. Be sure to unplug the car and leave the charging space when done, otherwise Tesla will charge idle fees of $1 per each additional minute. You can also use the mobile charger to charge at home for a slower charge. To preserve long term battery life, PLEASE don't ever let the charge get below 20% and don't charge it over 80% unless you will be immediately driving until it is back at 80%. For example, if you're on a road trip, you can fill it up to close to 95%, as long as you continue on your road trip and the car doesn't sit overnight at above 80%.

  • How should I return the car? ✨ 🔋

Please return the car clean and charged, just the way you received it when you started your trip.
