This was my first Turo trip, and I wasn't disappointed. This host had amazing communication. Described the process easily, and when I had a few first-timer questions, he responded within minutes. They definitely put me at ease. This vehicle was in great shape. We took it up to the mountains for a ski trip, and it knew when we were on icy roads (in-dash notification) and handled the various conditions with ease. I wholeheartedly recommend this host and will likely use then again on our next family trip.

Vehicle drop-off and pickup were easy, and the host was excellent. I will definitely be back to use this service again.

This is my first time using Turo and my rating is not about the host. But we had a scary experience right when we took off for Mammoth. Within about 20-25 miles of even driving the car, the tire blew out on the freeway. I haven't had that happen before in my life, but I have it happen on my first Turo rental car. Luckily, I was able to get over to the side of the road. With a scared child and wife both in the car, and cars whizzing past us five feet away, I called Turo since I purchased their roadside assistance. Except I got transferred, and then disconnected. I called again. And again. I finally spoke to somebody, told her how desperate we were, and she said she would wait until the transfer got through to their dispatch team. After another half hour on hold, the call was disconnected again. I called again, spoke to a human who said it wasn't his department, and transferred me again. My wife luckily called Triple A after the owner alertly notified me that Turo notoriously is slow and would even charge me out of pocket no matter what I paid, and we were better off using our own Triple A instead.

Even though the owner was nice about it, we wanted to switch vehicles and tried with Turo support, but you can probably guess how that went. More transfers, more hold times, and nothing. So when Triple A finally got there, we were towed to the nearest tire shop who was able to put on a new tire and we were finally on our way - four hours later than we planned.

The owner was pleasant, and this could have been a total freak situation. I am sure most car rentals on Turo are hiccup free, and if that is the case, it's a truly seamless, easy experience. But if anything goes wrong, best of luck. It's not like Enterprise or a major car rental who treats you well and gets you on your way fast in a crisis situation.
