The truck served us well, though took some getting used to the electronics controls. Our host was great- very responsive and accommodative.

Had an issue with the car to begin with due to a previous renting the vehicle busting the windshield. The host canceled the reservation but did offer to rent us another vehicle. The vehicle she offered was only available for three days of our seven day vacation. So on day three of our trip we had to travel three hours round trip to get the vehicle we originally booked a month in advance. The host told me to rebook the same vehicle the day we went to return the replacement vehicle. I was charged an additional $200 by turo for same day rental for a car that I booked a month in advance but the host cancelled not me. Then when I booked it the host said she would have the vehicle available at 4 pm. And to go ahead and book it 3 hours out because that was turo policy but that she would allow them to modify it so I can pick it up earlier. I arrived to return the first car at 430 and then the host refused to give me the code to get the keys to the car. I spoke with turo 3 times and they hung up the phone three times when contacting the host. The host did not give me the code until I had already been sitting in the rented vehicle for 1.5 hours with my family while on vacation. So now I missed dinner reservations and lost half of a day of my vacation due to these rental issues. Once I got the vehicle I had originally rented it was wonderful. But at the end of the day I lost $200 due the their issues and half of a day vacation
We’re sorry this trip started with unexpected complications. This car had windshield damage from the prior renter and, for safety, we provided a replacement car while repairs were completed. Once this original car was ready, the guest picked it up and, as noted, it performed wonderfully. The billing and rebooking concerns mentioned were related to Turo policies/support, not host control. We always do our best to accommodate guests and appreciate understanding when unexpected situations arise.

Absolutely perfect experience! Super easy pickup and drop off. Defender is in immaculate condition and really fun to drive. Will definitely use again on our next trip to IF.
