## My Experience with Turo
I’ve had the opportunity to use Turo six times now for both city street and airport pickups, and I really appreciate the convenience the platform offers.
### What’s Working Wonderfully: City Street Pickups
My experiences with city street locations have been absolutely fantastic! Every single pickup has been incredibly smooth and frictionless. The hosts were proactive, verifying my license and immediately sending clear checkout instructions. They anticipated every potential hiccup, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. This is where Turo truly shines!
### Opportunities for Improvement: Airport Pickups
On the other hand, my three airport rentals have been a bit more stressful, and I think there’s a great opportunity here to align the airport experience with the excellent standard of the city pickups.
As someone who likes to plan ahead and have a solid itinerary, receiving essential details—like the exact car location and lockbox codes—just an hour before pickup can be a bit nerve-wracking. For example, during a recent 1:00 PM rental, I didn't receive the check-in details until the final hour. Additionally, I encountered an issue where a host couldn't deliver within the advertised 6-mile radius, even though I was only 3 miles away.
### Moving Forward
I love the concept of Turo, and my city experiences prove how seamless it can be. For future trips, I’ll likely stick to city street locations to keep my travel plans stress-free. I hope Turo can encourage airport hosts to share location and access details a bit further in advance so travelers can plan their arrivals with total peace of mind!
