The vehicle was not ready at the time of my reservation. I uploaded the required pictures the day before my trip, but when I landed, it was still showing that it hasn’t been approved by the host. I had to call the host to get information on where to locate the vehicle, which is when he told me that he had an issue with the tire and the gas cover that he had to resolve, and had to clean the car, which resulted in him running behind. That was not communicated with me ahead of time. Once the car was ready, I still had to reach out to the host again so he could approve my documents so the pick up instructions could be uploaded in Turo. Once I got to the car there were things such as the reverse camera showing on the screen while the car was in drive and the horn beeping when I switched gears. When I addressed this with the host and asked if he possibly had another car that I could rent because I thought that the car was having issues, that is when he informed me that those were features with a Volkswagen and the horn beeping was because I was still in the pick up parking lot. Overall, I would have liked there to have been better communication to make the pick up process smoother.
