BE CAREFUL RENTING FROM THIS HOST. I drove this vehicle only about 200 miles during a 5-day trip, and after I returned it, the host filed a claim for over $600 for ONE tire, claiming the tire was now unsafe to drive because the tread was significantly worn.
Thankfully, I took detailed pre-trip photos. Those photos show that the tire was already significantly worn before I ever drove the vehicle. Even the Turo representative reviewing the dispute acknowledged to me that the pre-trip photos showed the tire was not new and already had visible tread wear.
Think about that. Roughly 200 miles over five days, yet I’m being blamed for supposedly taking a tire from “new” with good tread to significantly worn and unsafe to drive.
The host claims the tire was recently replaced, but the condition documented at pickup tells a very different story. I also have post-trip photos showing the tire mounted, inflated, and visually intact when I returned the vehicle.
I am disputing the claim and submitted my original pickup and drop-off photos directly to Turo.
If you rent this vehicle, photograph EVERYTHING before you move the car, especially close-ups of every tire and the tread. Take the same photos again at drop-off. Had I not documented the condition beforehand, I could have been stuck paying $600 to replace an already worn tire.
Would absolutely not rent from this host again.

Guest wrote a retaliatory review for being charged for returning the vehicle with a completely destroyed tire.
Turo reimbursed me for the tire due to MY proof of before and after trip pictures 😁 vehicle was returned with 20psi in the damaged tire and completely bald.
