We had no communication with the owner. Honestly feel scammed as my boyfriend booked a separate reservation. She made us double booked. I always do Turo and just don’t understand how this was very unprofessional. When we got in the car it’s as if someone just got done smoking a cigar. Had a great time in Houston but this was not a great experience.
As a Power Host managing a large fleet, I have no reason to risk my reputation over a small fee. The reservation was canceled by Turo’s verification team because the other person she mentions driver’s license had been expired for over two years. I explained that Turo policies could not be bypassed and even suggested contacting Turo Support to avoid charges. Unfortunately, I cannot control Turo’s verification decisions or release a vehicle when eligibility requirements are not met.

Car was good for the weekend. Car had a little wear and tear and dirty and dingy on the inside plus, the leather on the seeds were ripping and the car definitely smelled like old cigarettes.
