Starting off positive....the host was VERY communicative and accommodating.
Host was roughly 20mins late for car pick up (I received a $10 refund). When the car arrive it was filthy (the host offered to reimburse me for a car wash), and the gas was low. The car shakes, the steering wheel was hard to turn, there was some type of hot glue/epoxy on the windshield....I tried to use some windshield fluid but there wasn't any. On the way back home from our trip the check engine and breaking system lights came on, the car temperature started to climb so I had to find a mechanic to ensure we could make it back safely...he said the temperature gage was stuck causing it to go up and down (thankfully we made it back safely). I also discovered the oil level was low. Overall I would NEVER rent this car again, however if the host had a better car I would consider doing business with him again.

I would not rent from this host again.
After picking up the vehicle, I noticed there was no current Texas registration sticker displayed. When I contacted the host, he assured me everything was up to date, but that did not match what I observed. As someone from Texas, I knew this was something to question. Had I been from out of state, I likely wouldn’t have noticed.The situation felt very shady and left me with little confidence in the host’s honesty or the condition of the vehicle. I returned the car because I did not feel comfortable driving it. I recommend future renters inspect the vehicle carefully before leaving with it.
