This was the worst experience I’ve had with Turo! I chose this Buick for its clean look and large capacity, but after arriving, it looked nothing like the photos in person. There was wear and tear on the armrest, stains on the roof, and a strong odor that led me to purchase air fresheners. Three hours after pickup, the check engine light came on. The host, Kenneth, said his mechanic would fix it, but the issue returned just two hours after the “repair.” I missed part of my birthday itinerary dealing with it, and Kenneth stopped responding until the end of my trip, later blaming the app for not receiving my messages. His communication was dismissive and defensive, and he showed concern only after I pressed him to understand my situation and put himself in my shoes. We agreed to a refund of 50% being that the car would have been fixed but as a result, it was not. This car is unreliable, and no one should have to pay for such an inconvenience!

The review leaves out key facts. I offered a 50% discount before our call, which she later denied until I showed proof. My mechanic inspected the car, confirmed it was safe, and cleared the light, which later came back for an already-fixed issue. She never mentioned any odor or stains. Turo didn’t alert me to her message, but she had my number—no call or text from her.
Good used car for the money, took me from A to B, no overheating, holds oil, no tire air leaks. Good bang for your buck
