The vehicle served its intended purpose, and all details regarding its condition and driving expectations were accurate. Communication with the owner was clear, professional, and consistent throughout the rental, and I have no complaints about the vehicle itself or the owner's handling of the rental.
However, the unexpected additional charges imposed by Turo significantly detracted from the overall experience. Neither the owner nor I was aware of these charges, which raises concerns about the transparency and clarity of Turo’s billing process. Customers should not be left dealing with unexplained fees after a rental, particularly when those fees were not clearly communicated in advance. I am still awaiting a detailed explanation of the charges and expect Turo to provide a clear, itemized justification or remove any charges that cannot be properly substantiated.
While the vehicle and owner met expectations, the unresolved billing issue has negatively impacted my overall impression of the experience. I hope Turo takes accountability for clarifying these charges and resolves the matter fairly and promptly. A good rental experience should include not only a reliable vehicle and clear communication with the owner, but also transparent pricing and no unexpected financial surprises.
