The host was helpful during a flight delay, which I appreciated. However, I experienced a serious and repeated safety issue with the vehicle during my trip.
The car stalled multiple times while I was actively driving, including once on a busy interstate where it stopped in traffic and would not move. This also occurred under a toll booth arm and in several other locations.
Throughout the rental, the vehicle displayed notifications that the key fob battery needed replacement or that the key fob was not detected in the vehicle. I reported these issues during the trip, but was left on read, and I was ultimately charged a fee. I drove the car for less than two hours due the issues.
I’m not sure whether this is a feature or a malfunction, but a vehicle stopping unexpectedly in active traffic is dangerous and should be addressed before future rentals.
Rent gas car next time lol stay away from EV cars if you’re not familiar with how they operate lol
