I had a very frustrating experience with this rental. The car was provided with severely worn and damaged tires, which is a serious safety concern and should have been addressed before the vehicle was handed off.
Shortly after starting our trip, we realized the tires needed immediate replacement. We tried contacting the host multiple times, but our messages went unanswered until we finally had to call. We initially went to a reputable tire shop (Discount Tire), where we waited about an hour to get the issue addressed. However, the host then told us the cost was too high and refused to reimburse us if we proceeded there. Instead, we were instructed to go to a used tire shop.
This put us in a very uncomfortable and unsafe position, as we had to continue driving the vehicle with bad tires to another location. We then spent an additional couple of hours waiting at a used tire shop to resolve an issue that should never have been our responsibility in the first place.
Overall, this situation significantly disrupted our trip and itinerary. The lack of responsiveness, poor vehicle condition, and handling of the situation made this a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend renting from this host unless these issues are properly addressed.
