Unfortunately, my rental experience was very disappointing. This was a business trip, and several issues with the vehicle made it extremely difficult for me to use the car for the purpose I rented it for.
First, the parking spot information was misplaced/miscommunicated, which caused unnecessary confusion when picking up the vehicle. I was also caught in a rainstorm and discovered that the windshield wipers were not working properly, which was extremely unsafe and stressful while driving in the rain.
Another major issue was that the vehicle was electric, but this was not clearly disclosed to me by the owner before the rental. Had I known this in advance, I would have planned differently. Because I was using the vehicle for business purposes and had to repeatedly stop to charge it, I was unable to complete my work as planned. I also ended up spending almost $200 on charging, despite the expectation that the vehicle would be provided fully charged.
Overall, I feel these issues significantly impacted my trip and caused me additional time, money, inconvenience, and lost productivity. I believe important information such as the vehicle being electric, its charging requirements, and any known issues with the vehicle should be clearly communicated to renters before the rental begins.
I would not recommend this rental based on my experience, and I hope Turo takes these concerns seriously.

Giving a four stars because the car itself is nice and a great handle if you are familiar with electric vehicles from vw. I had to watch a few videos to get acquainted with the features which was tough at 1 am. The parking pickup location should be adjusted for nighttime pickups. While taking nighttime photos, a group of people came from around the dumpsters from less than 50 feet away and began walking toward the car which also had people behind them doing drugs/ very intoxicated watching me take pictures when I returned the car during daylight hours. Very tough location to feel safe at, even during the day.

Super easy pickup and drop off! Aaron is the dopest for real. (Showing my age lol) This car is electric FYI and its super easy to find stations and get charged up because its built into the cars navigation search. Really smooth ride too! Pretty cool.
