The car was dirty, had trash in it. The vehicle pulls to the right and when we received the vehicle, it stated it needed an oil change. The oil sticker on the windshield said it was over 2k miles due.

Upon arriving to pick up the vehicle after midnight, visibility was limited, and I was only able to capture a few exterior photos at that time. However, I immediately noticed a pungent odor inside the vehicle upon entry.

Later in the day, once I had proper lighting and the opportunity to fully inspect the vehicle, I discovered the Jeep was in unacceptable condition both inside and out. The exterior was extremely dirty, covered in pollen and bird droppings. The interior was equally unsanitary, with dirt and debris throughout the vehicle, including cookies, toys, leaves, and sand covering the floors.

I promptly contacted the vehicle owner to report the condition. The owner apologized and asked what he could do to make the situation right. I requested a discount due to the poor condition of the vehicle. He then asked if I had CashApp, and after I provided my account information, I never heard from him again. No refund, discount, or further communication was received.

Additionally, the vehicle displayed an oil change required indicator every time the Jeep was started, which raised concerns about the vehicle’s maintenance and safety during our trip.

My family and I were uncomfortable throughout the rental period due to the vehicle’s cleanliness and apparent lack of upkeep. While we wanted to clean the vehicle ourselves, we did not feel comfortable doing so out of concern that we could be held responsible for any potential damage or issues.

Given the circumstances, I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and that appropriate compensation be considered for the inconvenience, discomfort, and failure to provide a clean and properly maintained rental vehicle.
