My experience with King Chevrolet on Turo was one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that there was a complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic respect for the customer.
First, I was forced to pay $22 out of pocket just to retrieve the vehicle due to a parking fee that was never disclosed at any point prior to pickup. That is not a small oversight, that is a failure to communicate essential information and shifts responsibility onto the customer unfairly.
When I finally got to the vehicle, the condition was unacceptable. The tires were completely worn down to the point where they were essentially bald, which is a serious safety concern. The maintenance light was on indicating the vehicle was overdue for an oil change, and the interior was dirty and clearly not cleaned or prepared for a new renter. This is the bare minimum standard for any rental vehicle, and it was not met.
What made this situation even worse was being asked to pay for the host to pick up his own vehicle. That is completely unreasonable and speaks volumes about how this operation is being run. At no point should a customer be responsible for covering costs associated with the host retrieving their own asset.
I initially tried to overlook these issues and move forward, but the pattern of behavior made it clear that this was not an isolated incident. It felt like a continuous attempt to cut corners and pass unnecessary costs onto the customer.
This experience was not just inconvenient, it was unacceptable from a safety and business standpoint. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting from King Chevrolet on Turo to think twice. There are far better options available that actually prioritize customer service, transparency, and vehicle safety.
All details on where to pick up the car upon arrival was made very clear.. and the total to leave the lot with the car was made clear .. pictures and all were left to find the vehicle . The car was not returned to the proper lot/ same lot where it was picked up and was left in the wrong parking lot . After being notified that is not the correct lot and the fees will be higher ... I received a "bad review " . Renter obviously did not read clearly on pickup and delivery instructions...
