The Tesla was really handy for long-distance travel with my 90-year-old grandmother, and I appreciated having it for the trip! One thing to note is that the owners hadn’t used Full Self-Driving (FSD) in a while and weren’t aware the cameras needed service. This meant I had to pay closer attention while using FSD. We also encountered a storm that triggered repeated alerts about clearing debris from the cameras. Not a huge issue, just something worth knowing. I didn’t report the camera issue during the trip because I worried the owners might disable FSD out of caution.
The owners were very particular about charging and closely tracked our routes and Supercharger stops. While some renters may appreciate the frequent communication and suggestions, I personally found the level of monitoring a bit invasive. Several days after returning the car, I could still see its location and battery percentage in the Tesla app!
I understand it’s their vehicle, but future renters should be aware of how much trip information may be visible to owners. Overall, a convenient car for our needs, with privacy expectations and vehicle features worth discussing upfront.

Excellent trip all around. James is an great host. He remained available, answered all questions and helped to impart information about EV technology. Having the vehicle delivered was an added bonus. Would rent again and would recommend to other people.

Everything about this trip was wonderful. James was very friendly, communicative and accommodating. He even saw we may be late for our return flight and chose a convenient charge station that would get us charged enough to make it back. “Sally” the car was pristine and made the entire experience.
