While this vehicle is in good shape and is very nice to drive. The host is incredibly irresponsible and rude.
Our flight to ORD had a creeping maintenance delay throughout the day. Originally we were going to be two hours late, then four hours late,then six hours late and ultimately eight hours late. Again this was nothing we could control. We kept DHARA updated and when we finally took off, we messaged her that we would be arriving at 11:30 PM in Chicago.
Upon landing, we messaged DHARA to ask how do we open the car, there was no answer. We arrived at the car and again messaged her, called her multiple times and over 45 minutes there was no answer. Feeling that she was not going to answer at 12:30 AM. We went and got an Uber to our destination. While on the Uber, a man, not DHARA called us to say he unlocked the car. I told him we had already got an Uber and we’ll have to pick the car up the next day.
On the Turo message board, I asked DHARA how come she did not answer the phone. She replied “I had my phone on silent - my bad”, she says she has to get up at 6 AM for her full-time job.
I felt that DHARA owed us a day rentals since she did not answer the phone or answer any messages in a timely manner. Her only responses were that they would refund us for the whole rental if we don’t take the car, but we were on a nine day rental.
DHARA should not be able to rent cars on Turo. This is a part-time job for her and she acts like it. She made many rude comments such as you should’ve picked an airline that’s on time or that it’s not her fault because an airline is late.
This will be our last Turo rental. We will go to major rental car companies from now on.

You had your trip start time at 9:30 and the car was delivered to the airport at 9:30! You got to car after 14 hours and expect me to give a 1 day refund, you should have planned your pickup better and not expect free things people for your screw up!

Dropped off early for my arrival and was able to willingly accommodate my delayed flight, all while having the convenience of dropping right to the airport I arrived/departed from.
