Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience.
When we picked up the vehicle, it had an extremely strong marijuana odor inside. We were traveling with pregnant passengers and had to drive for about 1.5 hours with the windows open because the smell was so overwhelming. By the end of the trip, the odor had improved significantly, but there was still a noticeable marijuana smell in the vehicle.
What was especially frustrating is that this issue was not disclosed to us beforehand. Once we arrived to pick up the car, we were left in a situation where we essentially had no practical choice but to take it and continue with our trip.
On top of that, the vehicle did not have a front license plate, and we received a $75 citation because of it. This was an issue with the vehicle that was outside of our control, and now we have to deal with disputing the citation.
Overall, between the undisclosed marijuana odor and the missing front plate, this caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience during our trip. Based on our experience, we would not recommend renting from this host.
