The car drove fine but there is a serious problem with the gas mileage. Online it says the year make and model should get at least 400 miles per tank plus. From my experience it was half that. Maybe a tiny bit more. I had to fill up more than I should have had to. I couldn’t use the ac because it would burn gas even more nor could I have the windows down for the same reason.
I wish that that would have been communicated to me in the first place otherwise I wouldn’t have chosen this car. It says online the most likely thing is a fuel intake issue and I don’t think it’s right that I should have had to find that out a day into my trip and experience unnecessary additional costs to my trip. I really feel like there should be some reimbursement and I left the tank at a quarter full. When I picked it up it was only 3/4 full on top of the previously mentioned issues with gas.

Thank you for your feedback. Our 2017 Ford Escape has a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine, not EcoBoost. Its fuel economy and mechanical condition have been verified, and it is regularly serviced. After approximately 15 trips with five-star ratings, we have received no prior fuel economy complaints. Our pre-trip photos document the fuel level, and the vehicle is cleaned after every trip. For future trips, a Toyota Corolla or similar fuel-efficient sedan may better suit your needs than an SUV.
