A pro is that this car got us around for the trip and the hosts were very responsive. Unfortunately, that is the extent of it. It was absolutely filthy inside (there was literally a sticky door handle), cut off on us at a stoplight, extremely difficult to steer, had issues starting, and we had difficulty getting back inside almost every time we locked the door (the car alarm would go off and could not detect the key/us hitting the unlock button to stop - very embarrassing). I messaged the host to let them know about these issues and they chalked it up to that “being how a BMW is.” As a driver of a Mercedes, previously an Audi, and a recurring renter of BMWs for my trips, I can say with certainty that is not the truth. The service light was on when we picked up the car and the host told us in our pre-arrival message this was also normal. The obvious power steering, engine, and sensor issues made it abundantly clear that this also wasn’t the truth. If you prefer functionality, reliability, and/or cleanliness, I do not recommend this vehicle. If you’re okay with the car potentially not cutting on, a little bit of filth, and okay with having to use both arms to turn, the vehicle will work fine for you.

I didn’t want to leave a bad review, but because my family was left in a terrible situation - I had too. AYN and co-host are very nice. I would only say the bad thing about this, is knowing they have a vehicle that isn’t in a drivable state and still offering it out to everyone as if it is a safe vehicle to drive. I know I could’ve read the previous review, but I had trust that the host probably fix the issue and put it back on rent list, definitely not the case here. I was a couple miles away from my storage facility, the vehicle had a very rough idle and I had several occasions of it almost shutting off at random stop signs. Then when at light maybe a block or two from my destination, it stopped dead at a stop light - it kicked back on after a few seconds, and I managed to get to my storage parking lot. I texted it in to the Host and called Turo, they had the vehicle towed back to the host and there I was stuck at 10:30pm in the cold with my family and I had my grandson with me, who is only a 1 year old baby. I wish this never happened, but it did. If it happened once Host’s please don’t ignore the issue or the least you can do is not to list it until the issue is fixed.

The car was filthy upon receiving. The engine light was on. I notified and the excuse was it was the gas cap. Even if that was the case, it should’ve went off after 25-30miles driven. We went well over that. I also believe it’s either the fuel injectors or the transmission as a whole. While at a light the car turned off. This happened on two occasions. I will not be renting again. Thank you…..

Great host, smooth communication, car was in excellent condition, and very good value for the price. Would definitely rent again.
