Good car, would rent again!

BJ was great! Beautiful vehicle and well taken care of. Would rent from him again!

Unfortunately the vehicle smelled like cigarette smoke and it took quite a while to get it returned. He communicated very well and quickly but he also told me he knew the car smelled like cigarettes and tried to detail it so the smell would be gone but it was still there.

Extensive cigarette smoke damage. Actually, when we initially got into the vehicle at DFW, the smell of weed was so overwhelming, we had to open all the doors and just let the car air out for a while before getting in to drive away. Eventually, the weed smell dissipated, and we were treated to several days of thick, gross cigarette residual. I'm guessing the the cabin air filter is completely saturated. It was hot, and when we put the A/C on, or even just the vents, the car was filled with the fine smell and feel of an ash tray. Oddly, after several days, the weather turned, and we had to actually run the heat. That made the cigarette smell even worse. My kids were effected, and my wife and I both felt impacted by the incessant smell. By the end of our trip, all of our clothing smelled, and we all felt just a bit nauseous every time we got into the car. When I mentioned it to BJ, he said he was not a smoker and was dealing with the issue. But, I'd have a very difficult time believing that the entrenched smell was not caused by a long-term pattern of someone smoking in that vehicle. He offered me a whopping 15% discount on my next trip. But I don't have plans on returning to the area any time soon. So that is worthless to us. I'm very disappointed that someone would rent a car with such a fundamental problem.
