Excellent vehicle. Although this trip was last minute, the host came in with “Win” on this one. Traveled to Toronto, ON and back to NYC without any issues. Communication was on point and so was reliability.

Terrible airport pickup, car smelled very strong like weed.
I booked Sean’s Lexus SUV on a trip to JFK with my family. I added airport pickup/drop off ($120 fee!), and a car seat for my 2 year old. Upon arriving JFK and collecting luggage Sean messaged saying to call an 800 number to get a shuttle to the car. Calling the number a guy who couldn’t speak understandable English picked up repeatedly telling me to move my luggage and family upstairs from passenger pickup and talk to a “shuttle dispatcher” or something. After several calls and no idea what I was looking for I called and messaged the host telling them to pick us up at passenger pickup. Then we waited outside for 45 min in freezing weather (with my 2 year old and 6 month old) for a shuttle to show up. When it finally did there was a single seat available in the shuttle. I had already called Sean to explain I booked pickup/drop off because I needed car-seats for kids in transit. This left me in a really terrible situation. He insisted it was just “1.4 mile drive” and we would be fine. The shuttle drive took nearly 30 minutes as the shuttle made other stops, on and off highways, etc. while I’m holding onto my kids in the front seat in my lap. This shuttle service was not operated by the airport, very unprofessional, and wasn’t close or quick. From baggage claim to car took nearly 2 hours. There was another 30 min delay after getting to the car as a dozen passengers tried to pack up and leave a lot with a single entrance/exit. Finally the car smelled so strong like weed we had to apologize to any passengers.
This is the first time a host has not either met me at the airport, or left the car in short term parking and I’ve been using Turo for airport pickups for years. This is also the first time a host has charged me $120 for airport pickups. Safe to say I won’t use this host again.
