Overall, a smooth first time with Turo.

I appreciated the unlimited miles, which is the primary reason I chose this car over other Teslas. The car is in good shape, was spotless inside, and mostly as advertised.

Quick rundown of the handful of issues I encountered:

Shortly before I left my house to pick up the car, the host informed me that the seat motor which moved the driver seat back and forward was broken. He offered to cancel, but I'd already planned on using the vehicle so that wasn't an option for me at that point.

Second, the vehicle also only had a 50% charge when I picked it up. He told me about it on my way there, and didn't bill me for one charge -- but getting it up to 100% before I had to leave the next morning was time I hadn't budgeted into my trip.

Another frustration that I didn't notice during my walkthrough was that part of the driver's side windshield wiper was dangling, and smashed around the windshield when engaged. I think it was the washer fluid spray attachment, since that wasn't working properly either. (And it appears this might've been a known issue because it looked like it was taped to the wiper with electric tape.) I reached out to the host about it upon discovery, but unfortunately never received a response regarding what to do about it. Since I didn't want to touch it until he advised to do so and further damage it, I had to endure this through the whole trip (and it rained probably 50% of the time -- so it was distracting/annoying to deal with... and not have an answer from host on how to address it.

Last point (and this isn't a reflection of the host, but important for anyone renting for FSD): this vehicle has the older FSD software. The new version allows you to keep your hands off the steering wheel. I knew the older versions required you to keep your hands on... but didn't realize it required a period jerk of the steering wheel every few minutes to assure the computer you're paying attention. That takes some getting used to and occasionally disengages FSD if you jerk too hard... which can be a little jarring when you're on the highway.

Again, overall pleased with the experience... but there were a few issues that could've been addressed in advance to make it a 5-star experience.
