Great ride , nice and clan car

My children and I needed a vehicle while mine was in the shop. I was able to rent this quickly. Pick-up and drop-off were a breeze. The host was polite and communicated quickly, always responding to messages in a timely manner. People renting from this host can expect a smooth rental process with quick and clear communication. That alone deserves 5 stars. I’d consider renting from him again because the communication and rental process itself were both excellent, but I wouldn’t drive the Renegade again unless the following issue is addressed.
It had a strong smell of stale tobacco/pot smoke that hit me from the moment I opened the door. There was a car scent hanging from the rearview mirror that attempted to cover it up, to no avail. I immediately reached out to Scott, who very kindly showed up at the pick-up location to investigate. Upon arrival, he said he didn’t notice any odor like that in the car, and so at that point, I felt like I needed to keep it. However, other people who rode in it also commented on it.
I parked the vehicle in my garage so I could leave the windows down to air it out on the first night, but the next morning I came out to the Renegade and noticed the smell in my garage. The smell was so intense that it lingered on our hair, clothes, and my toddler’s car seat, and it made my daughter nauseous. This made driving the vehicle uncomfortable. It would benefit from a serious deep clean specifically targeting this type of issue.
