The GLE was amazing! This was the only one I could find in the area with the premium Burmester sound system, and honestly, that alone is worth the booking. It’s easily one of the best sound systems I’ve ever heard. You can feel the bass in your chest, and everything from metal and rap to lo-fi and classical sounds very full bodied and incredible.
The GLE itself was just as impressive. It has quick acceleration, tons of safety features like blind spot assist, and is surprisingly agile for a larger SUV.
I mostly used it for stargazing with my telescope in some of the darker, high-elevation areas around Sundance and at Antelope Island State Park, and it was basically the perfect astronomy vehicle. The heated massaging seats were incredible during long nights, the panoramic sunroof let me look up at the stars, Milky Way, and even keep an eye on my telescope, and the ambient RGB lighting made hanging out in the car at night an experience of its own. My mom and I spent plenty of time sitting under the lights having our “universe” conversations. 😂
The host was also fantastic to work with. I almost didn’t book because I was flying into SLC and the vehicle isn’t located directly at the airport, but I’m so glad I messaged him first. He worked with me to make the GLE accessible near the TRAX system running from the airport toward Draper, which made everything much easier.
I genuinely have no complaints. The Mercedes ended up being one of the highlights of our Utah trip, and I highly recommend both the vehicle and the host. Don’t let the fact that it isn’t physically parked at the airport stop you from booking. Message him and see what you can work out. It was absolutely worth it!
