The 2026 Tesla Model Y is quick, economical, comfortable, and handles great on the road. The owners were responsive, and I definitely recommend renting it, everyone should experience driving a modern electric vehicle!
The only downside is that pickup and return are about 20 minutes from the airport. You’ll save a lot on gas, but if you plan to drive frequently, expect to spend around 45 minutes charging every other day. Charging options in Des Moines are also limited; we found only two convenient stations, including one in West Des Moines. Overall, it was a great experience!
