The car worked and did not break down, however I had several unpleasant experiences with the car and the host.
First off, the owner put the drop off location as the east economy lot in the airport. After walking around for 20 minutes in that lot and messaging the owner, I found out it was parked in the garage. I turned the car on and noticed the tire pressure monitor system light was on the dash board, and was unable to track my miles the entire trip because of this warning light. The gas tank was also around 60% full, and I got hit with a $35 parking charge to leave the airport.
Most concerningly, I had a very difficult time trying to buckle the driver seat belt every time I got in the car. Sometimes it would take around 5 minutes, and sometimes it would come unbuckled in the middle of my driving. I expressed my concern to the host and all I got was this reply, "OMG no!"
The trunk also would not open, both through the remote and manually. Fortunately, we were able to access it through the window hatch, but this was very inconvenient at times.
Lastly, after returning the car with 1-2 gallons of gas less than I picked it up with and expressing all of my concerns to this host throughout the trip, he charged me an extra $67 for gas and apparently another $35 for parking in the same spot I picked it up.
Overall, I would rent a different car from a different host next time, and would not recommend this host. His english is limited, and seems that he would rather squeeze every penny of profit from you as opposed to provide good customer service.
He did not provide any help throughout the trip.
