This car was much bigger than what we needed, but it was reliable and drove well and we felt safe.

This was a disaster, the vehicle broke down an hour (9am) into our drive. Turo expected us to stay on side the highway in a very dangerous/critical area in the mountains until the tow truck arrived. They also wanted us to stay on side the highway with our luggage to wait for another vehicle, mind you we had 2 young kids with us. They couldn’t find an Uber for us and even if they did, Uber would not pick us up on side the highway. At one point Turo asked if we could walk to a gas station a mile away. We told the representative we have kids and luggage, we are not walking on side the highway. 2 tow trucks stopped to help us because it was an unsafe area. The 2 tow truck drivers even talked with Turo to let them know we were in a critical situation and Turo still denied them to tow us because they didn’t have a contract with those companies. We ended up paying the second tow truck driver to take us to our Airbnb an hour away, if not we would have been stranded onside of the road for 6 1/2 hours. Turo’s tow truck finally picked up the vehicle at 3:40pm from our Airbnb. This was a total nightmare!!! I had to open a case to see if Turo would reimburse us for our tow truck, but nothing has been finalized.
We ended missing our scheduled event for the day. We were supposed to arrive at our Airbnb for 10am and did not arrive until after lunch. I just feel this situation could have been handled so much better and easier with the customer’s safety in mind.

This car was exactly as advertised. No issues during our trip. We enjoyed having the added space for our large family. The all-weather floor mats were a plus with the wet and snowy conditions. Everything worked without issue.
