Audi Q3

I originally left a positive review because I rented another vehicle from this host afterward and wanted to give him another chance. However, after everything that happened, I feel it’s important to share my full experience.

The Chevrolet Trailblazer I rented had a very strong cigarette smoke odor throughout the entire trip. It gave me headaches and significantly affected my experience. I contacted the host during the reservation, but there wasn’t another vehicle available to switch into. We also discussed a possible discount because of the smoke issue, but that never happened.

Later, I rented the host’s Audi, which did not have the smoke issue. Unfortunately, I accidentally lost the key to that vehicle. I understand that was my responsibility and I cooperated by searching for the key and arranging for the vehicle to be towed to the Audi dealership.

My disappointment is that these were two separate reservations, yet when I asked about the unresolved fuel invoice from the Chevrolet trip, the discussion became tied to the Audi key situation instead of the original smoke complaint. I also had to dispute a late return charge on the Audi reservation, which Turo ultimately removed after reviewing the return time.

I believe hosts should address concerns from each reservation on their own merits. I wish the smoke issue had been handled more fairly and that the communication and resolution had been better.
