had a very disappointing experience with this host. I paid for the rental and was supposed to pick up the car on Monday, but the host did not make the vehicle available until Tuesday. He said he was traveling with the car and that I would have to wait until the next day. Because of this, I no longer felt comfortable renting from him due to the lack of reliability and responsibility. However, I was also unable to simply book another car through Turo because I had already paid for this reservation, even though the car was not available on the agreed date. There was also an issue when I returned the vehicle. About two hours before returning it, I called and said I was going to charge the car. He told me specifically, ‘No, you don’t need to charge it. I charge it at home and I won’t charge you anything, so don’t worry about it.’ Later, he still sent me a charge for almost 60 dollars for charging the vehicle. That was extremely frustrating and completely inconsistent with what he told me. When I returned the car, the host wasn’t even there. His 15-year-old son came out to receive it. I asked where his father was, and he just said, “my dad is not home, I’ll get the car”. I handed him the key and took photos of the car inside and out. Later, the host asked me about a small emblem from the seat that had fallen off and questioned why I hadn’t told him. I didn’t even notice that small piece was missing, and I don’t know how I could have caused something like that to simply fall off. He wasn’t even present at the return. To make matters worse, the host also asked me not to mention the problems in my review because he was worried it would hurt his business. Future renters deserve to know what happened. Based on my experience, I would absolutely not rent from this host again.”
