Great car, and owner was very responsive and helpful with process

Cleanliness: 4/5
o Car exterior had been washed before delivery. Mostly clean interior, which was easily solved with some Clorox wipes that we found in the trunk.
Maintenance: 2/5
o Rear right wheel had a significant – at least five inches long and about an inch tall – piece of the edge of the wheel missing. It was large enough that it was more than cosmetic and we had some concerns about driving at highway speed for 3.5 hours at a time. Front right tire pressure was 6 PSI below recommended level, so we had to refill it before we could use the car. Tires looked ok, but car did indicate that the tire maintenance was due 19,000 miles ago.
o Windshield has a significant crack.
o Car had alert for low washer fluid when it was dropped off, so we had to put fluid in it.
o Passenger side mirror was held on with tape, which was peeling off by the time our three-day rental was complete simply from driving at highway speed.
o Front bumper was also held on by tape.
Communication: 3/5
o While I signed up for a Tesla account to accept the digital key and entered my credit card, since I was not in the *car* as a driver, it charged the owner’s account directly. That’s fine, but it would have been helpful to know in advance because it caused an issue (see below).
o The owner’s account had an unpaid balance after our third Supercharger use. I alerted the owner immediately, who said it was fixed but three hours later, it was not, so we still were unable to charge the car at a Supercharger.
o It would have been helpful to know where the adapter was for non-Tesla chargers. I could not find it in the trunk or frunk where other supplies were – jumper cables, Clorox wipes, etc. Without it, I had trouble finding a charger we could use (Superchargers were not always available during our use of the car) until we found the adapter in the door.
Convenience: 3/5
o Host was flexible, agreeing to meet at our parking garage vs. the pick-up location since it was only two blocks away. However, they then asked to push the pick-up time by one hour so they could have time to charge the car, which we accommodated. But then, they showed up a day early for the drop-off. We got them settled and they came back on the correct day (still an hour later than the booking), but they were not the agreed-upon alternative pick-up location.
o The car was only 66% charged – full charge for day-to-day driving should have been, based on their own settings in the car, at 82%. Especially since they dropped the car off an hour later in order to charge it.
o Being unable to use a Supercharger (see above) was a significant inconvenience. A regular charger took an hour to gain 8% battery. So, we were not able to return the car fully charged.
o We were provided a physical key card but it never worked. Thankfully, we had the digital key in my phone, but with my husband approved as an alternative driver, he wasn’t able to even unlock the car without my phone.
Accuracy: 4/5
o Other than the issues noted under maintenance, the car was mostly as described. It has more wear and tear – dings and dents – than expected for a two-year-old car, if that matters to you.
